Coquito

We've made this so-called Puerto Rican egg-nog a few times, and this year, I think was one of our best sets of batches yet.

One Christmas a number of years ago, one of Diana's co-workers shared with her some homemade coquito. It was fantastic. For a few years, we got a bottle from that co-worker around the holidays. Eventually, though, Diana and she no longer worked together and we didn't get the coquito. At some point, we tried our hand at making some and it came out great.


This year, we tried a no-egg, no cook recipe. It was fairly quick and easy, but with great results. We doctored the recipe we found just a little to make it much closer to our liking. If you got some, we hope we you liked it! If you didn't, perhaps we'll have to get you next year.


By the way, thanks goes to a colleague for taking the picture above of her about to enjoy her glass of coquito.
