Founded by two black women, Mented stands for "pigmented" and is designed for women who have darker skin.

The founders share the impetus for the formation of their company:

We created Mented Cosmetics because we believe every woman should be able to find herself in the world of beauty, no matter her skin tone.

This is one of the products now available at Target.

This was on the list mostly because Diana needed some lipstick and so cosmetics was on the list explicitly to explore. This is one of about three cosmetics brands that made it to the basket. It is a bit ... different... to put cosmetics in a bag for someone other than one's spouse, but there were a number of women and girls on our collective lists and so we went for it.
