With so much tea on the list, there had to be honey! This was a great find. We only ordered the ginger infused honey, but it was SO good. This is definitely on the favorites list.
With so much tea in the baskets, we wanted to send along some honey as well. The Zach & Zoe Sweet Bee Farm was a great find that we thought would go along with the tea mostly. But, because we also do a fair amount of biscuit making, we have found that it is amazing on that Saturday morning treat.
What we didn't expect was the following. One family member apparently suggested putting a little on the Chippy's Pound Cake that was in their basket. We would never have thought to put honey on a pound cake. It sounds like it would make an already sweet treat, too sweat, but it actually works really well. In part, the honey is sweet without somehow being overly saccharine and in part, that hint of ginger makes for an amazing combination with the pound cake.
The story here was pretty cool. Like in several other cases, the business was started as a reaction to helping out one of the founders' kids. Hear a little about this, but even more about the passion for the product in the video below:
